Hey, I'm a really darkskinned black girl, and I just bought the NYC sun and bronze bronzer. It barely shows up on my skin, but I was wondering if I could use it to set my foundation. I'm currently using Covergirl, but it has a tendency to make my face look slightly gray.
Some really good setting foundation for dark skinned lovelies are actually in the Black opal line and covergirl queen collection.
Bronzer’s tend to be trickier with darker tones, I myself have trouble getting them. So opposed to bronzer’s i use highlighters and deep dark brown matte blushes and contouring the hell out of my face.
The Body Shop has really good bronzers, especially for darker skinned women. The shimmer in it really shows, but not over powering.
I would say do an experiment and try the bronzer for the day and see how it goes.
For better foundations, unfortunately drugstore levels STILL do not have a plethora of foundations for women my skin tone or darker. Try Black opal, Iman, Black radiance (really love their liquid foundation!). Fashion fair is on the higher end but the line is SPECIFICALLY for black women.
